Our Belief Statement...
WE BELIEVE...that Jesus will return for His Church and that His return is the “blessed hope” of every believer, both living and dead.
WE BELIEVE...Divine Healing of the sick is provided for in the redemptive work of Christ. WE BELIEVE...that each believer has a gift from God to serve Him in their world. There are those called by God to ordained leadership ministry within the Church but each believer has access to God through faith in Christ. WE BELIEVE...the Church is the Body of Christ and consists of people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of salvation in Christ and that the Church has the same mission as Christ: to seek and to save the lost. WE BELIEVE...the Holy Spirit’s work of sanctification that separates us from sin also draws us to God and that it is a progressive lifelong process of becoming more Christ like. WE BELIEVE...the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service and that speaking in tongues signifies this experience just as it did in New Testament times. WE BELIEVE...and practice Water Baptism by immersion after salvation, and Holy Communion as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's death for our salvation. WE BELIEVE...every person can have restored fellowship with God through faith in Christ and His work on the cross for salvation. WE BELIEVE...though originally good, Man willingly fell to sin ushering in evil and death, both physical and spiritual. WE BELIEVE...In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; as God's son Jesus was both human and divine. WE BELIEVE...There is only One True God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. WE BELIEVE...The Bible is inspired by God and declares His plan for mankind. WE BELIEVE...that Jesus Christ will rule the earth for 1000 years in “The Millennial Reign of Christ” followed by a final judgment of the living and the dead in which those who have rejected Christ will be consigned to eternal punishment and those who have accepted Him to eternal reward in the “new heavens and new earth.” |
